• Job Description: Total Roof Replacement. This original Terracotta tiled roof was around 90 years old and in extremely poor condition. Being a coastal suburb of Adelaide the air contains more salt than other more inland areas and this increased salt causes the Terracotta tiles to become even more brittle and fret at a faster rate. The original roof tiles were removed and disposed of. Additional timber work fitted to the roof structure by way of collar ties were needed to increase the overall strength of the roof. All ceiling Insulation was replaced and the new roof sheeting was lined with 50mm glass Wool blanket. The result was a significant improvement in both appearance and performance of the roof system.
