The roof consisted of a Decramastic, or pressed metal tile exterior clad over the original corrugated Iron roof from the 1920s. This decramastic roof modification was very popular in the 70s and 80s and these older hames came due for a roof replacement. Unfortunately the Decramastic tiles proved to be extremely problematic. They are virtuously un-trafficable and often cause leaks. In the case both layers or original roof cladding were completely removed and a new Insulated Colourbond Roof Installed.
